Ground FLOOR > JOHNNY MAc/ASYLUM

Both Johnny Mac and Asylum are currently under utilised areas of our building.

We know that some of you love coming to Tower every Wednesday, however for the rest of the week this large space is rarely used due to the lack of light and multiple levels.

This project aims to create flexible spaces that maximise the footprint of the building.

Suggested areas for development include:

> Removing the Johnny Mac toilets to open up additional ground floor space.

> Bringing Membership Services; such as support for sports teams, societies and student volunteering into a more student facing space.

> Showcase the activities that students do e.g create a media, sports, socieities

> Improving accessibility and ground floor signage so it's easier for you to make your way around the building.

> Create lighter, brighter and more vibrant spaces that showcase the opportunities we offer students and bring your Union to life.

On the first floor is the Membership Services area, which is home to support for student opportunities, our finance office and your Student Officers.

Suggested areas for development include:

> Reducing the size of this space and moving administrative services to a back of house area.

> Creating bigger and more flexible social spaces that can be used to relax, work and meet friends.

> Increase visibility of advice services
